Fluid Camp 2005

With the rowdy bunch all packed into 3 cars, boards, sleeping bags and a road trip south the Fluid advanced camp ‘05 got under way.
For the weekend 22 grommets and a few parents all headed off early Saturday morning looking for waves on route to Narooma. We found some great 3-4 foot beaches at Potato point where some groms got tubes and others got slammed. The group managed to find 2 other uncrowded beaches that arvo, completed our tag team competition, got coaching tips off Damo and Anthony Macca, then back to our accommodation where we got cleaned up for a Malibu Mex pig out. After some shenanigans on the way home the groms flaked out from a huge day. First light we found another great beachie, “all the kids surfed so well, pushing the surfing level higher and higher with each surf”. After breakfast we cleaned and packed up before the trip home. Then on our way we scored again with 2 more surfs at a secret spot. In those 2 days we had all surfed for an average of 10 hours, so when the kids were dropped off at home they were stuffed, stoked and ready for bed.
Big thanks goes to Pete, Tony, John, Lindy and Marge for all their help to make it such a fun and successful weekend. Also Anthony Macdonald for driving down from Sydney to help coach and stoke the kids out. Damo.
